CAP AIDS is committed to ensuring the privacy of students participating the SUADS campaign and sponsors supporting them. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how personal information is collected from users of the SUADS 2009 blog (“Site”), and how that information is used and disclosed. By using the blog, you consent to the terms of this Policy.
Student & Sponsor Personal Information:
Personal information is information that specifically identifies an individual, such as a user's name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card or other account number, and information about that individual's activities when directly linked to that person such as information about his or her purchases or use of services. Personal information also includes demographic information such as date of birth, gender, geographic area and preferences when such information is linked to other personal information that identifies you.
Personal Information We Collect:
You provide personal information to us in a number of ways when you visit the SUADS 2009 blog or use the various services available on the Site. For example, you provide us with personal information when you: 1) sponsor a student or make a direct donation online; 2) post a comment to the Site and voluntarily include your name or other personal information; and 3) contact us by email for any reason (such as to request customer service or provide us with your comments/feedback).
When you sponsor a student or donate directly online through the various tools provided on the blog, we collect your name and email address, legal names and PayPal address.
When you visit our blog, some information is also automatically collected, such as your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system and browser type and the time and date of your visit. This information is collected through the use of "cookies." Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer by a Web site to give you a unique identification.
We also use cookies on the blog to record your user preferences and to keep you logged into the Site. We treat automatically collected information as personal information if we combine it with or link it to any of the personally identifying information mentioned above. Otherwise, it is used in the aggregate only.
We will never use third parties, such as ad servers or network advertisers, to deliver ads to you on our behalf.
In general, we use personal information to process your sponsorship or respond to your requests and comments relevant to the SUADS 2009 campaign. For example, we use the information we collect to:
